Description
The Resource Stewardship Division of Alberta Environment and Protected Areas seeks a qualified commercial laboratory to perform laboratory analysis of polycyclic aromatic compounds (PACs) in biological tissues, including fish, to support environmental monitoring programs in the Alberta Oil Sands Region. The contractor will be responsible for receiving, homogenizing, extracting, and analyzing biological tissue samples for parent and alkylated PACs according to specified analytical requirements. The project aims to evaluate the spatial and temporal distribution of PACs in aquatic ecosystems and assess potential changes relative to baseline data. The contract duration is 4 months, starting approximately November 1, 2026.
