Description

This project involves the complete decant of the existing Foothills Medical Centre (FMC) NICU from Level 5 of the West Wing into the existing General Medicine Inpatient Unit 62 to enable future redevelopment of Levels 5 and 6 under a separate contract. The decant works include upgrades to support intensive-care functions such as new air handling units with redundancy, medical gas distribution, electrical upgrades, data infrastructure, and asbestos abatement. Additional work on Level 11 includes a SANTS room, equipment storage, and administrative spaces. A new air handling unit will be installed on the west roof above the Timberline Cafeteria with ductwork routed externally. All work will be within an active hospital and must adhere to strict Infection Prevention Control requirements.
