Rocklin Unified School District is seeking bids for a comprehensive CAT6A copper cabling infrastructure upgrade at Rocklin Elementary School and Rocklin High School, as part of the E-Rate program. - Government Buyer: - Rocklin Unified School District Technology Services - Project covers 32 buildings, 129 rooms, and 46 MDF/IDF locations - OEMs and Vendors: - CommScope or equivalent (structured cabling) - Chatsworth or equivalent (cabinets, cable management) - Products/Services Requested: - Approximately 1,548 CAT6A copper cabling drops (12 per classroom plus extras for cameras, speakers, and other devices) - 376 24-port CAT6A patch panels - Cable management and cabinets for MDF/IDF locations - Installation and initial configuration of all components - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Mandatory site walk for bidders to verify quantities and conditions - Bidders must perform their own quantity takeoff based on site conditions - No fiber work included; copper-only CAT6A cabling - Compliance with E-Rate and FCC procurement rules - District may issue notices to proceed per building in any order during contract term - Project open to equivalent products from other manufacturers as specified - Estimated total cabling footage: approximately 380,657 feet across both sites - Scope includes classrooms, administrative areas, cameras, speakers, and athletic facilities

Description

The Rocklin Unified School District is seeking cabling infrastructure services at Rocklin Elementary and Rocklin High School sites. A mandatory site walk is scheduled for October 10, 2026, starting at Rocklin High School and proceeding to Rocklin Elementary School. The walk will include viewing MDF/IDF locations, pathways, classrooms, and ceiling/wall conditions. The project involves installation of Category 2 internal connections including cabling, antennas, connectors, and related components. Bidders must follow the detailed requirements and bid response instructions provided in the attached RFP and appendices.
