The Vermont Department of Buildings & General Services is seeking qualified auctioneer service providers to manage online and onsite auctions for a wide range of state-owned assets. - Government Buyer: - Department of Buildings & General Services, State of Vermont - Office of Purchasing & Contracting - Scope of Services: - Conduct both online and onsite (physical) auctions for state property - Assets include vehicles (cars, trucks, trailers, ATVs, motorcycles, snow machines, boats), tires, vehicle parts, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, lawn equipment, old lightbars, sirens, docking stations, K9 partitions, lab equipment, appliances, firearms, and other miscellaneous items - Service Requirements: - Providers must be licensed and experienced in auctioning vehicles and commercial equipment - Must offer a robust online auction platform with features such as real-time bidding history, minimum starting amounts, proxy bidding, adjustable auction time, and marketing to a broad audience - Ability to handle both online and annual physical auctions, including all logistics (setup, advertising, personnel, payment processing, and compliance with state regulations) - Preference for proposals without a buyer's premium - Commission rates required for sales up to and over $250,000 - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named; the solicitation is open to all qualified auctioneer service providers - Contract Details: - Initial period of 24 months, with up to three additional 12-month renewal options

Description

The Department of Buildings & General Services of Vermont is seeking to establish contracts with one or more companies to provide Auctioneer Services. The contract period will be 24 months with an option to renew for up to three additional twelve-month periods, starting November 1, 2026. The services include conducting online and onsite auctions for various state assets such as vehicles, equipment, and other property. Preference will be given to proposals without a buyer's premium, and contractors must have a well-established online auction system with specific features and capabilities.
