Description

The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is soliciting proposals from attorneys to advise and represent the OAG and its client agencies and institutions regarding medical malpractice claims pursuant to Va. Code § 2.2-510. The Division of Risk Management (DRM) provides risk management plans for state agencies, local constitutional officers, and local governments, handling claim reports and investigations. If litigation arises under certain risk management plans, DRM or OAG assigns counsel responsible for all aspects of case defense, including appeals. Counsel will coordinate with DRM as necessary.
