Description
The Kahoolawe Island Reserve Commission (KIRC) is seeking a comprehensive Water Development Study to address the limited freshwater availability and deteriorating catchment infrastructure on Kaho`olawe Island. The study aims to assess existing water catchment and storage infrastructure, identify opportunities for rainwater collection and reservoir development, and develop a practical plan for upgrading or replacing the current water system. The project includes site assessments, feasibility and design recommendations, and a water development plan with phased implementation strategies. The study supports ongoing restoration and revegetation efforts on the island and must be completed within six months from contract execution.
