The City of Swift Current is seeking qualified contractors to perform major infrastructure upgrades on 3rd Avenue NE (300 block) and 5th Avenue NE (200 block), managed by the Superintendent of Water Distribution & Wastewater Collection. - Government Buyer: - City of Swift Current, Superintendent of Water Distribution & Wastewater Collection - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; PVC pipe and appurtenances are specified by type and standard - Products/Services Requested: - Removal and replacement of sanitary sewer mains (200mm PVC SDR35) - 90 linear meters per location (3rd Ave NE and 5th Ave NE) - Removal and replacement of water mains (200mm PVC DR18) - 90 linear meters (3rd Ave NE), 100 linear meters (5th Ave NE) - Supply and installation of gate valves (200mm) and elbows (200mm) - 1 gate valve and 2 elbows per location - Removal and replacement of residential water and sewer services from main to property line (10 per location) - Removal and disposal of existing asphalt (270 square meters per location) - Temporary water supply to residents during construction - Mobilization, demobilization, traffic accommodation, and connection to existing systems - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractors must provide all materials, labor, and equipment (except for City-supplied sanitary pipe on 3rd Ave NE) - Compliance with City construction standards is mandatory - Proposals evaluated on price and qualitative factors; City may select any combination of base and optional work - Temporary water supply must be maintained for residents throughout construction - Project completion is time-sensitive, with a preferred finish before winter conditions

Description

The City of Swift Current is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide construction services for infrastructure upgrades on 3rd Avenue NE and 5th Avenue NE. The base scope includes removal and replacement of sanitary sewer mains. Optional work includes removal and replacement of water mains and residential sanitary and water services from mains to property lines.
