The Department of Commerce invites public comment on the proposed revision of the Current Population Survey (CPS) Annual Social and Economic Supplement (ASEC) 2027 Field Test collection. The CPS collects labor force information for the civilian noninstitutional population, including employment status, earnings, and health insurance coverage. The 2027 Field Test aims to introduce a self-response mode for the ASEC supplement and test changes in question wording and response categories. The field test is planned for January to May 2027 and will involve approximately 50,000 respondents.
