Description

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has prepared a pest risk analysis evaluating the risks associated with importing fresh coconut fruit from Belize into the United States. The analysis determined that applying one or more designated phytosanitary measures will sufficiently mitigate the risks of introducing or spreading plant pests or noxious weeds through this importation. The pest risk analysis is now available for public review and comment until November 16, 2026. After considering comments, APHIS will announce its decision regarding the import status of fresh coconut fruit from Belize.
