Description

The FAA proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all ATR-GIE Avions de Transport Régional Model ATR42 and ATR72 airplanes due to reports of uncommanded nose landing gear retraction. The AD would require a leakage test of certain landing gear selector valves and replacement if necessary. It also limits the installation of affected parts under certain conditions to address the unsafe condition. Comments on the proposed AD are due by November 2, 2026.
