NASA Kennedy Space Center is seeking to procure two units of the Evident NORTEC 700 Eddy Current Array Flaw Detector. - Sole source procurement will be made through WABTEC Inspection Technologies, Inc., identified as the exclusive provider. - The requested product is the Evident NORTEC 700 (Part # N700i-U), a portable instrument for advanced eddy current and array flaw detection. - Features include dual frequency, rotating scanner with layer detection, and conductivity measurement. - Each unit comes with accessories: probe cable, power cords, charger, battery, calibration certificate, screen protector, transport case, user manual, and cables. - The procurement is managed by NASA Shared Services Center for Kennedy Space Center. - NAICS code is 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing). - Period of performance is 30 days after receipt of order. - Interested parties may submit qualifications, but price quotes are not being accepted. - OEM is Evident; vendor is WABTEC Inspection Technologies, Inc. - Estimated contract value is likely in the $20,000–$40,000 range based on typical pricing for similar equipment.

Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Evident NORTEC 700 Eddy Current Array Flaw Detector. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to WABTEC INSPECTION TECHNOLOGIES, INC., Waltham,  Massachusetts 02453-3826, under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that WABTEC  INSPECTION TECHNOLOGIES, INC. is the sole provider of Evident NORTEC 700 Eddy Current Array Flaw  Detector NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/  Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and  procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334519.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in  writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on  9/21/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining  whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the  Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon  responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
