The U.S. Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), on behalf of the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), has announced its intent to award a sole-source contract for Zebra printer maintenance and repair services. - Agency: U.S. Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) - Sole-source contract to Zebra Technologies International LLC - Scope: Maintenance and repair services for 50 Zebra ZT-620 industrial label printers - Locations: Central Distribution Centers in Germersheim and Kaiserslautern, Germany - Services include: - OEM factory-certified RMA depot repair - On-site technical maintenance - Access to proprietary Zebra diagnostic software and firmware updates - OEM replacement parts - Tier-3 OEM engineering helpdesk support - Contract type: Firm-fixed-price - Period of performance: 12-month base period, four 12-month option periods, plus an optional 6-month extension (up to 5 years and 6 months total) - Only Zebra or its authorized service providers are eligible due to proprietary requirements - No competing vendors or products are specified; sole-source justification is based on OEM exclusivity
