Northern Municipal Services, on behalf of The District (Northern Saskatchewan), is seeking a qualified contractor for comprehensive remediation of the Bear Creek Forest Clearing Area. - Government Buyer: - Agency: Northern Municipal Services - Sub-agency: The District (Northern Saskatchewan) - Office: Public Works Manager (Contact: Jeff Farion) - Scope of Work: - Removal of all refuse, household and industrial debris, and miscellaneous waste - Identification, inventory, and lawful removal of abandoned vehicles and vehicle parts - Includes hazardous material handling and coordination with licensed salvage yards - Lawful disposal or salvage of all materials at approved facilities - Site restoration: grading, leveling, erosion control, and stabilization - Construction of an earthen or rock berm at the site entrance to prevent future unauthorized access and dumping - Optional installation of signage posts - Completion documentation: before-and-after photographs, disposal manifests, vehicle removal records, berm construction summary, and permits - Requirements: - Contractor must be licensed in Saskatchewan and provide proof of insurance and Workers' Compensation Board coverage - All work must comply with provincial and municipal regulations - Pricing to include mobilization, refuse removal (per tonne or lump sum), vehicle removal, hazardous material handling, berm construction, signage installation, and final site cleanup - No specific OEMs or branded products are named; all equipment and materials are to be provided by the contractor - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Lawful handling and documentation of hazardous materials and vehicle salvage - Construction of a physical barrier (berm) to prevent future dumping - Detailed completion documentation required

Description

The District, through Northern Municipal Services, is seeking a qualified contractor to remediate the Bear Creek Forest Clearing Area, an informal dumping site with accumulated refuse, debris, and abandoned vehicles. The scope includes removal of all solid waste, lawful disposal or salvage of vehicles and parts, site restoration to a clean and safe condition, and construction of an earthen or rock berm at the site entrance to prevent future unauthorized access and dumping. The contractor must also provide completion documentation including photographs, disposal manifests, and a berm construction summary. Work is to commence as soon as possible after contract award and be substantially completed within two calendar months, weather permitting.
