The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Columbia Environmental Research Center, is seeking quotations for a high-resolution multibeam sonar system for freshwater vessel surveys. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Columbia Environmental Research Center - Contracting Officer: Patrick Anderson - OEMs and Vendors: - Norbit (OEM of the Winghead X series Multibeam Echo Sounder) - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) high-resolution multibeam sonar system (Norbit Winghead X series or equal) - Minimum 512 beams - Resolution: 0.5 x 0.9 at 400 kHz, 0.3 x 0.5 at 700 kHz - Adaptive ping rate up to 60Hz - Integrated GNSS and INS (0.2° heading accuracy, 0.01° pitch/roll accuracy) - 10 mm or better depth resolution - Outputs bathymetry and backscatter data - Waterproof sonar processor (IP67) - Sonar head and bracket weight less than 7.5 kg in water - One (1) lightweight carbon fiber mounting pole - Ready for vessel mounting, 2 m antenna mount spread, LiDAR mounting plate - One (1) manufacturer-certified, multi-day onsite training for USGS technicians - Covers sonar use, theory, installation, data acquisition, and processing - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Brand name or equal to Norbit Winghead X series - System must be lightweight and portable for easy transport and installation - All vendors must be registered in SAM with a valid UEI - Compliance with federal supply chain and security regulations - Training must be provided onsite by manufacturer-certified personnel
