Description

The Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields intends to repatriate a cultural item defined as an object of cultural patrimony. This item has a cultural affiliation with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, Oklahoma. The item to be repatriated is a pair of moccasins obtained prior to 1936. Repatriation may occur on or after October 16, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be submitted in writing to the authorized representative at the museum.
