The City of Ocala's Electric Utility is conducting market research on automatic recloser equipment and intelligent recloser controls capable of remote monitoring, control, protection, communications, and advanced distribution automation for future smart-grid applications. This Request for Information (RFI) is for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation or request for pricing. Responses are due by 2:00 P.M. EST on September 21, 2026. The utility owns and operates an electric distribution system including overhead and underground facilities, poles, transformers, substations, service equipment, streetlighting assets, and related electrical infrastructure.
