The USDA Forest Service, National Forests & Grasslands in Texas, is seeking water system monitoring and maintenance services for the LBJ Work Center in Decatur, Texas. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, National Forests & Grasslands in Texas, NATL FORESTS GRASSLANDS IN TX office - Scope of Work: - Contractor to provide all labor, materials, chemicals, and transportation for potable water system sampling, testing, operation, and maintenance - Services must comply with EPA National Primary Drinking Water Regulations (40 CFR 141) - Requires a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Water Supply Division certified operator (Class D or higher) - Monthly total coliform and E.coli testing, annual nitrate testing, and re-sampling as needed - Operation and maintenance of hypo-chlorinator system, including weekly chlorine residual testing and equipment calibration - Maintain chlorine levels between 0.5-1.5 ppm; initial chlorine supply provided by government - Maintain logs and records of all testing and maintenance activities - Pre-work conference and plumbing adjustments required in base year - Contract Structure: - Base year plus four option years (annual service units) - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; focus is on certified water system operators and compliance with regulatory standards - Notable Requirements: - Strict adherence to EPA and TCEQ standards - Small business set-aside, including economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses

Description

Furnish all labor, incidental materials, chemicals and transportation necessary for sampling, testing, operation and maintenance of the LBJ Work Center potable water supply. All water sampling and testing shall be performed in accordance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Primary Drinking Water Regulations (40 CFR 141) for potable water. A Class D or higher TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) Water Supply Division certified water system operator.
