The State University of New York (SUNY) is requesting bids from equipment lessors to fund medical equipment and management information systems for SUNY's Syracuse University Hospital (Upstate Medical Center) and affiliates in Onondaga County. The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) has established the Tax-Exempt Equipment Lease Program (TELP) which provides SUNY with access to tax-exempt equipment lease financing. A $51,000,000 application has been filed with DASNY. The project includes a variety of medical equipment such as a linear accelerator, nuclear medicine unit, ultrasound machines, C-Arms, mammography units, lab equipment, monitors, anesthesia machines, radiology workstations, telemetry equipment, beds, computer systems, IT equipment, and other medical equipment.
