Description

It is the Government’s intent to restrict competition for repair services for a USDA Forest Service-owned skid steer supporting wildfire suppression, fire and fuels work, terrain management, and emergency response operations. The skid steer is currently dismantled and inoperable at the Western States CAT facility in Fruitland, Idaho, where it is undergoing diagnostic evaluation. Restricting competition to the vendor currently in possession of the equipment will avoid the additional transportation, cost, delay, and duplication of diagnostic work associated with relocating the dismantled equipment to another repair facility. Repair services are required as soon as practicable to minimize disruption to Forest Service mission operations.

The anticipated source is Western States CAT, 500 East Overland, Meridian, Idaho.

Interested sources that believe they can meet the Government’s requirement should submit a capability statement to karen.weaver@usda.gov by the response deadline.
