The U.S. Geological Survey Pacific Coastal & Marine Science Center is seeking a contractor to develop a custom Satellite Shoreline Processing System for large-scale coastal mapping and change analysis. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Pacific Coastal & Marine Science Center, Sacramento Acquisition Branch - Products/Services Requested: - Design, development, and delivery of a CoastSeg-like software system for satellite shoreline mapping - Strategic plan outlining workflow and system architecture - Prototype code for satellite imagery acquisition, shoreline detection, and data production - Enhancement and validation of prototype code using Landsat and Sentinel-2 imagery - Publication of code following USGS standards - Comprehensive documentation and virtual training for USGS staff - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; the opportunity is for custom software development - Unique/Notable Requirements: - System must support machine-learning shoreline extraction and geospatial data processing - Must integrate with USGS Advanced Research Computing resources - Contractor must provide training and documentation for USGS staff - Validation must include at least 50 km of U.S. coastline using satellite imagery - Period of Performance: - 20 months, with deliverables at 6, 12, and 20 months - All technical details and requirements are contained in the solicitation attachment
