Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office is seeking bids for morgue transport services to support the pickup and transportation of decedents within and occasionally outside Collin County, Texas. - Government Buyer: - Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Purchasing Department - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are named; procurement is open to qualified funeral homes or mortuary service providers - Products/Services Requested: - Morgue transport services for decedents up to 349 lbs within Collin County (800 transports/year) - Morgue transport services for decedents up to 349 lbs from outside Collin County (20 transports/year) - Special circumstance services: - No body removal after arrival (1 occurrence) - Excessive wait time over 2 hours (1 occurrence) - Obese decedent transport (350+ lbs) within Collin County (10 transports/year) - Obese decedent transport (500+ lbs) within Collin County (1 transport/year) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must comply with all Texas laws and regulations for decedent transport - Ability to handle specialized scenarios, including obese decedents and extended wait times - Proof of insurance and bonding required - Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all requirements - Period of Performance: - Initial one-year contract with three additional one-year renewal options (up to four years total) - Possible 90-day transitional period if no new contract is awarded

This solicitation is for Morgue Transport Services for the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office. The selected contractor will provide pickup and transportation of decedents from various locations throughout Collin County to the Medical Examiner’s Office. The contract will commence on December 30, 2026, for one year with three additional one-year renewal options. The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all mandatory requirements. Bids are due by October 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
