The Ministry of Forests is considering a direct award contract to Forest Professionals BC (FPBC) for the development and delivery of training on the application of the Forest Road Guidelines. These guidelines are a joint practice guideline between FPBC and Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) and establish professional practice requirements for forest road planning, design, construction, maintenance, and management. The contract is contemplated to be awarded directly to FPBC due to their specialized expertise and unique role in supporting compliance with professional practice requirements for forest professionals in British Columbia.
