U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), under the Department of Homeland Security, has accredited Saybolt LP (Deer Park, TX) as a commercial gauger and laboratory for petroleum products: - Government Buyer: - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Homeland Security - OEMs and Standards: - Saybolt LP (accredited laboratory and service provider) - American Petroleum Institute (API) – technical standards for gauging - American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) – laboratory analysis standards - Products/Services Requested: - Petroleum gauging services using API procedures (tank gauging, metering, temperature determination, sampling, calculation of petroleum quantities, marine measurement) - Laboratory analysis services for petroleum products using CBPL and ASTM methods (API gravity, density, water content, sediment, distillation, viscosity, sulfur content, flash-point testing) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Accreditation valid for three years - Written assurances required for specific tests or services - Laboratory must comply with CBPL and ASTM standards for analysis - Period of Performance: - Three-year accreditation period, with triennial inspection required - No product line items; all services are related to petroleum gauging and laboratory analysis

Saybolt LP (Deer Park, TX) has been approved to gauge petroleum and certain petroleum products and accredited to test petroleum and certain petroleum products for customs purposes. This accreditation is valid for three years starting from October 29, 2025. The next triennial inspection is scheduled for October 2028. The approval is pursuant to CBP regulations and includes specific gauging procedures and laboratory analysis methods.
