Description

This proposed rule aims to modify the Class D and Class E airspace areas at Roberts Field/Redmond Municipal Airport in Redmond, Oregon. The modifications include expanding the Class D surface area and Class E surface area radius to 5.6 miles to better contain aircraft during circling maneuvers and IFR departures. The proposal also establishes a common airspace boundary with Bend Municipal Airport to reduce airspace incursions and adjusts the Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet to better contain arriving and departing IFR aircraft. These changes support the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at the airport.
