Description
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is seeking approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for the information collection related to the Single Family Premiums Collections Subsystem-Upfront (SFPCSU). This system strengthens HUD's ability to manage and process upfront single-family mortgage insurance premium collections and corrections, improving data integrity for the Single Family Mortgage Insurance Program. FHA approved lenders use Automated Clearing House (ACH) applications for all transmissions with SFPCSU to remit upfront premiums and obtain mortgage insurance. The information collection also supports calculating refunds due to former mortgagors under specific conditions such as conveyance, prepayment, or voluntary agreement with FHA approval. HUD is requesting public comment on this proposed collection for 60 days.
