Lewis County seeks 5-year annual maintenance for backup generator systems at multiple facilities

Lewis County Purchasing Department is seeking proposals for a 5-year contract to provide annual preventive maintenance services for all County-owned backup generator systems. - Scope covers 16 generators at multiple County facilities and 911 tower sites - OEMs include Onan, Cummins, Kohler, and Olympian for generators - Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) from Onan, Cummins, Kohler, and ASCO - Services required: - Level I (minor) preventive maintenance: fluid checks, operational tests, inspections of cooling, lubrication, fuel, starting, ignition, air intake, exhaust, control, generator end, and transfer switch systems - Level II (major) preventive maintenance: all Level I tasks plus oil and filter changes, fuel/water separator replacement, fuel sampling for diesel units, and proper disposal of materials - Maintenance must follow manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices - MWBE-certified firms are encouraged to participate; MWBE goal is 15% - Compliance with New York State prevailing wage laws is required - No specific part numbers or prior similar contracts in the past five years - Documentation of all maintenance findings is required - Service visits: two per year per generator - Contract duration: 5 years
