This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business ActThis action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. 

The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 570 Renovate NW Collaboration Area.  The work shall include the following requirements listed in the specific requirements-

Demolition – Scope of Work Area (Approx 5,050 SF)

Contractor must remove and dispose of doors, frames, and hardware for doors indicated on drawings. Contractor must remove and dispose of door, frame, and hardware for door into Room 2162. Prep wall for infill. Contractor must remove and dispose of casework, shelving, markerboards, etc. in Room 2162 & 2161. Contractor must remove and dispose of walls (excluding column wraps), as indicated on drawings. Exclude portion of wall with existing electrical panel. Any power and data existing in walls indicated for removal is to be removed to nearest connected junction box. Contractor must demolish and remove partial height walls and visual screens on the north and west side of 2161 Collaboration Area. Contractor must remove and dispose of existing carpeting and wall base within SOW area. Rooms 2163, 2162, 2155. Contractor must remove and dispose of existing vinyl flooring and wall base within SOW area. Rooms 2156, 2157, 2161. Contractor must remove and dispose of CRAC units and all associated control boxes from Rooms 2156, cap all associated utilities above ceiling or below floor. Existing electrical panel to remain, protect throughout all phases of work. Existing columns to remain. Any damage done to existing gypsum column wraps must be repaired by contractor at no additional cost to the government. Contractor must remove and dispose grid ceiling, lights, HVAC diffusers, etc. in areas indicated to facilitate new work. Sprinklers are to be reutilized as much as possible in new work.  All grid within scope of work boundary. New Construction – Scope of Work Area (Approx 5,050 SF) Contractor must construct new walls utilizing metal studs and gypsum wall board. All offices to have a 35 STC rating, min. Construction shall be 3-5/8” or 6” metal studs and one (1) layer of gypsum wall board on each side, with acoustic batt insulation. Tape, texture, and paint (PT-1). Contractor must provide and install new wood doors, hollow metal frames, and hardware for doors into new offices. Provide and apply paint on frames. (PT-2). Contractor must provide and install new carpet tile (CPT-1) and resilient wall base (RB-1). Contractor must provide and install new ceiling grid and 2x2 ceiling tiles (ACT-1). Sprinkler head locations to be relocated as indicated on drawings. Contractor must provide and install new grid mounted, LED light fixtures (LF-1) throughout scope of work area. Fixtures to be installed utilizing existing circuits. Reutilizing existing occupancy sensors. Contractor must provide and install new HVAC supply diffusers as indicated on drawings. Connect to nearest supply duct as practicable. Contractor must provide and install new HVAC return diffusers as indicated on drawings. Connect to nearest return duct as practicable. Contractor must provide power and data, (NIPR, CAN, SDL) to all new workstations and offices. Provide cabling, junction boxes, termination ports, and stainless steel face plates as necessary to deliver a complete and usable space.  Contractor must provide and install new 4 port data receptacle, J-box, and cabling back to patch panel in existing comm closet. Provide one (1) NIPR, CAT 6 cable color green, one (1) CAN, CAT 6 cable color orange, and (1) SDL, CAT 6 cable color white. Provide corresponding colored keystone jackes for each network at each workstation.  Confirm colors with AFRL prior to installation. Contractor must infill wall at previous door location in RM 2162. Wall construction must match existing wall. Tape, texture, and paint to match existing. Interior face to be (PT-1), exterior face to match existing. Contractor must construct walls on the north and west side of RM 2161. Contractor must provide and install tall storage cabinet with plastic laminate veneer (PKAM-1). Contractor must provide power and data connections to powered and wired furniture systems. Furniture to be GFGI.
