Description

The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2024-26-06, which applies to certain Airbus SAS Model A330 and A340 airplanes. The AD requires modifying the trimmable horizontal stabilizer actuator (THSA) installation, implementing electrical load sensing device (ELSD) wiring provisions, and installing and activating the ELSD with revised procedures. Additional actions are required for certain airplanes after the initial modification to address an unsafe condition that could result in loss of control of the airplane.
