Description
The FAA proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-100-1A10 airplanes. This AD is prompted by reports of pitch upset upon autopilot disconnect following engine indication and crew alerting system (EICAS) messages indicating significant nose up or nose down forces on the elevator. The proposed AD requires revising the airplane flight manual (AFM) to change the procedure for the AP STAB TRIM FAIL (C) advisory message from a non-normal to an emergency procedure, providing flightcrew with emergency procedures to stabilize airspeed. Comments on the proposed AD are due by October 29, 2026.
