Description
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested.
This procurement is for a bridge contract for Pediatric Hospitalist - Scientific Subject Matter Expert. This is a sole source “bridge” contract because the services requested are urgent and immediate to provide continuity of service for patient safety and regulatory compliance. Guidehouse Digital LLC. previously performed these physician services for the Clinical Center and have demonstrated familiarity with the requirements associated with providing the necessary on-call physician coverage. Because of the contractor's prior performance of this requirement, the contractor is positioned to provide the required services within the compressed timeframe necessary to address the current lapse in coverage. The proposed physician(s) are already credentialed and privileged by the Clinical Center or otherwise able to satisfy the necessary clinical requirements within the required timeframe. This current requirement is to temporarily continue services until the new services contract can be competed and awarded.
This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 –Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements.
