The City of Tampa's Solid Waste & Environmental Program Management is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive pickup, transport, and disposal services for hazardous and non-hazardous waste resulting from illegal dumping and abandoned materials within city limits. - Government Buyer: - City of Tampa, Solid Waste & Environmental Program Management - Scope of Work: - Pickup, inventory, packing, labeling, manifesting, transport, and disposal of a wide range of hazardous and non-hazardous materials - Materials include: aerosols, corrosive liquids/solids (organic and inorganic), flammable materials, pesticides, explosives/reactives, oxidizers, mercury-containing articles, butane lighters, non-hazardous liquids, used oil, PCB ballasts/capacitors, hazardous waste, fluorescent lamps, batteries, acetylene cylinders, adhesives, electronic nicotine delivery systems, and more - Over 70 distinct line items, each typically in 5, 30, 55, or 85-gallon containers - Services Required: - Labor for technician and chemist/supervisor roles - EPA electronic manifest filing - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must be authorized for hazardous waste collection, transport, recycling, storage, and disposal - Must provide EPA Identification Number and current Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Hazardous Waste Transporter Registration - Compliance with RCRA, Florida environmental codes, and OSHA standards - Pickup and disposal required within 36-48 hours of request - Ability to coordinate with multiple city departments - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; opportunity is open to all qualified hazardous waste service providers
