The City of Denton, Texas, through its Denton Municipal Electric (DME) division, is seeking a qualified engineering consulting firm to provide telecommunication pole attachment and related engineering services across its service territory. - Government Buyer: - City of Denton, Denton Municipal Electric (DME), Purchasing Office - Scope of Services: - Review, approve, and process telecommunication pole attachment applications (approx. 20 per month) - Conduct field and post-construction inspections for compliance with standards - Perform pole loading analysis and make-ready engineering design for private network attachments - Administer as-built documentation and manage a pole attachment database - Prepare and submit invoices to attaching entities; manage billing and reporting - Provide technical support, attend meetings, and deliver program performance reports - Assist attaching entities with application process and standards interpretation - Report safety incidents and customer contacts - Develop technical white-papers or studies as requested - Notable Requirements: - Firm must be registered and licensed to practice engineering in Texas - All professional services must be supervised and documents sealed by a Texas-licensed Professional Engineer - Minimum three years of relevant experience required - Robust insurance and cybersecurity practices - Ability to deliver services both onsite and remotely - Contract Details: - Initial term of one year, with up to four additional one-year renewal options and a possible six-month extension - Continuous activity based on application volume, with increasing demand expected through early 2027 and beyond

The City of Denton is requesting submissions from individuals or businesses with considerable experience to provide telecommunication pole attachment and engineering services throughout the Denton Municipal Electric service territory. The scope includes planning, application review, construction inspection, post-construction inspection, administration, billing, and reporting related to pole attachment applications. The selected firm must be a registered professional engineering firm in Texas and capable of providing innovative and cost-effective solutions to municipal challenges.
