Description
The South Island Forest District is seeking a Proponent to write a fuel management prescription for MOTT Highway Interchanges around Parksville. The area consists of two parcels: Chattel Road (8.0 Ha) and Alberni Highway (2.0 Ha) interchanges. The purpose of this fuel management prescription is to provide a safe area for wildfire response through the falling of dangerous trees, reduction of understory ladder fuels, and surface fuel mitigation. The fuel type is generally classified as Coastal Douglas-fir (C5). Further details and requirements are provided within the RFP.
