The City of Sacramento Department of Public Works is seeking a contractor for comprehensive streetscapes and landscape maintenance services in the Railyards area. - Government Buyer: - City of Sacramento, Department of Public Works, Street Services Division - Scope of Services: - General horticultural maintenance, turf and groundcover care, pruning, fertilizing, weed and pest control, litter removal - Integrated pest management and operation/maintenance of manual and automatic irrigation systems - Repairs of irrigation systems and replacement of plant materials as needed - Weekly site inspections and compliance with local, county, and state laws - Strict safety, environmental, and sustainability standards - Maintenance of Filterra biofiltration systems, with special requirements for bio-swell planters (no chemical use) - Repair crew services for general gardening and specialty irrigation tasks, billed hourly - Sites Covered: - Eight specific locations in the Railyards area, including 5th Street, 6th Street, G Street, Railyards Boulevard, West End Tunnel, Bercut/Summit Tunnel Way, Lot 48 Path, Telegrapher and Stevens St. - Contractor Requirements: - Must hold a California C27 license - Minimum two years’ experience in large-scale commercial or governmental landscape maintenance - No subcontracting of maintenance or pesticide application - Notable Requirements: - Results-based contract with performance specifications (LS-20) - Weekly maintenance at each site (12 times per year) - Repair work is on an as-needed basis - Compliance with water quality, safety, and COVID-19 protocols - City reserves right to add or delete locations during contract term - Estimated Contract Value: - Not to exceed $249,999 for two years

Description

The City of Sacramento, Department of Public Works is soliciting bids to perform streetscapes maintenance services for the Railyards area of the City of Sacramento. The work includes general horticultural maintenance, integrated pest management services, operation of manual and automatic irrigation, cleanup of landscape areas, repairs of irrigation systems, and replacement of plant materials as necessary. The contractor must be licensed by the State of California with a C27 license and have at least two years of experience providing landscape maintenance services for large scale commercial and/or governmental agencies.
