Murphy Memorial VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs - South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) - OEMs and Vendors: - Sebia (highlighted as the OEM; Capillarys and Hydrasys product lines referenced) - Products/Services Requested: - Fully automated gel electrophoresis instruments (Sebia Hydrasys 2 or equivalent, Capillarys 3 Octa or equivalent) - Reagents, controls, and consumables for: - Serum protein electrophoresis (SPEP): 7,000 tests (IDIQ) - Immunofixation (SIFE/IT): 800 tests (IDIQ) - Urine immunofixation (UIFE): 650 and 660 tests (IDIQ) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Instruments must be FDA approved - Must support bi-directional LIS interfacing with barcode capabilities - Minimum 90% monthly uptime required - Emergency repair service must be available within 24 hours - Implementation (installation, training, validation) required within 90 days of award - Contract includes one base year plus four option years

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 is seeking sources for the following procurement:  Electrophoresis CPT; Contractor shall provide a fully automated, gel electrophoresis instrument that can perform both serum and urine electrophoresis (SPEP/UPEP), immunofixation (SIFE/UIFE) and Immunotyping (IT) to identify monoclonal and polyclonal gammopathies for the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service of the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS), Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital, located at 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78229. See attached Statement of Work.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) has a continued need for Serum and Urine Protein Electrophoresis, IFE, and IT instrumentation. The contractor shall provide a fully automated, gel electrophoresis instrument that can perform both serum and urine electrophoresis (SPEP/UPEP), immunofixation (SIFE/UIFE) and Immunotyping (IT) to identify monoclonal and polyclonal gammopathies. The Sebia instruments Capillarys and Hydrasys have been in use in the STVHCS Chemistry Laboratory 2016.

See Price/Cost Schedule and Attachment A within the Statement of Work (SOW) for lists of estimated testing needs.  (Quantities are estimates only).  See attached SOW for the performance requirements.
