The Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS) is seeking bids for the comprehensive rebuild of Secondary Pump #3, a 16-inch Vertiline Vertical Turbine Pump, at the Wright Smith Jr. Wastewater Treatment Plant in Mobile, Alabama. - Government Buyer: - Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS), Purchasing Department - OEMs and Vendors: - Vertiline (vertical turbine pump manufacturer) - Flexaseal (split seal manufacturer) - Products and Services Requested: - Rebuild of one 16-inch Vertiline Vertical Turbine Pump - Machining and true cutting of flange faces and registers - Pad welding and machining registers for stuffing box and columns - Replacement of shafts with new 316 stainless steel - Replacement of all bushings - Supply and installation of new bowl assembly (shaft coupling, impeller, thrust ring, thrust ring retainer, impeller key, threaded bearing, discharge bowl, bowl and bell bearings, bell, sand collar, 316ss bolts) - Assembly to factory specifications - Supply of new Flexaseal split seal - Replacement of all bolts, nuts, and washers with new 316 stainless steel - Coating outside columns and suction bowl with coal tar epoxy - Coating above-ground pumps with rustic brown industrial epoxy paint - Coating inside pump columns, suction bowl, and discharge head with Belzona 5811 - Transportation of the disassembled pump - Two-year warranty on workmanship and materials - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Mandatory site visit to inspect the disassembled pump prior to bidding - All hardware must be replaced with 316 stainless steel - Specific industrial coatings required for different pump components - Two-year warranty on workmanship and materials - Compliance with Supplier Diversity Program (SDP) and insurance requirements
