Description
This final rule makes technical updates to and rescinds certain DOT regulations to ensure they accurately reflect current DOT Operating Administration names and statutory authorities. It updates the names of certain DOT Operating Administrations, adds new ones established after the original regulation, and removes those no longer part of DOT. Additionally, it rescinds 49 CFR part 98 due to the repeal of its underlying statutory authority. The rule is effective September 11, 2026.
