FMC Rochester, part of the Federal Bureau of Prisons under the Department of Justice, is soliciting bids for fresh bread products for institutional food service use. - Government Buyer: - Federal Bureau of Prisons, FMC Rochester, Food Service Office - Products Requested: - Bread, White, Whole Wheat, White Wheat, or Wheat, Unseasoned, Fresh, Pan Baked, Sandwich Sliced, Enriched, Seedless - Approx. 7,843 loaves - Must meet CID A-A-20052C - Bread Rolls, Hamburger Style (Whole Wheat, Part Whole Wheat, or Multigrain), Pan Baked, Sliced, Fresh, Seedless - Approx. 864 packages - Must meet CID A-A-20053C - Bread Rolls, Hot Dog Style, Enriched Wheat, Pan Baked, Sliced, Fresh, Seedless - Approx. 1,021 packages - Must meet CID A-A-20053B - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All bread must be fresh, pan baked, seedless, and delivered within 48 hours of baking - Delivery required to FMC Rochester, MN, with weekly ordering by Food Service representatives - Specific package sizes requested: 20 oz loaf (20 slices), hamburger buns (30/package), hot dog buns (16/package), but other sizes may be quoted - Open to all eligible organizations, including small businesses, EDWOSB, and SDVOSB - No specific OEMs or brands required; products must comply with federal commercial item descriptions (CID) - Registration in SAM is mandatory for all contractors

Dear Prospective Offeror,

Attached is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) SF 1449, for Bread Products for the Federal Medical Center, Rochester MN. The Government reserves the right to make formal single or multiple award contract(s) from this solicitation. Awards will be made based on price and past performance, with pricing being rated higher than past performance. All potential quoters are advised that this solicitation includes the clause FAR 52.212-4 for Commercial Items, which at paragraph (t) System for Award Management (SAM), requires all contractors doing business with the Federal Government to be registered in the SAM database. Quoters should include their Unique Entity Identity  (UEI) number in their quotes. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the SAM database prior to award by entering the potential awardee’s UEI number into the SAM database. Failure to complete the registration procedures outlined in this clause may result in elimination from consideration for award. Ensure package size and ounces per package are included in your quote.   Requested package sizes are Bread 20 oz, (20 slices) loaf,  Hamburger buns 30/pkg,  Hot Dog Buns 16/ package.  Other package size quotes will be accepted.  

The Award will be acceptance of your offer: therefore, ensure all requirements can be satisfied in terms of quantity required, delivery dates, specifications, packaging, labeling, and invoicing procedures, etc., prior to bidding on the item(s). Do not change specifications or packaging, unqualified quotes will be considered not-responsive.

This site provides downloading instructions. All future information about those acquisitions, including amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Faith- Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts which they are eligible.
