Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking qualified contractors for on-call rock scaling services across its five maintenance regions. - Government Buyer: - Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Region 2, GEEGH Mountain Unit, Senior Engineering Geologist - Scope of Services: - On-call rock scaling, including hand and mechanical scaling (excavator, long-reach excavator, walking/spider excavator) - Mobilization and demobilization for scaling operations in each region - Provision of hand scalers, trainees, supervisors, specialty tree fallers, and flaggers - Site visits, cleanup, disposal, and per diem for overnight travel - Repair and installation of rockfall screens and fence systems, including support elements - Mobile rockfall barriers and rock reduction services - Traffic control equipment and materials for lane closures - Products/Services Requested: - Multiple service line items for mobilization, scaling, labor, equipment, and support tasks (see detailed line items below) - Part numbers provided for each service type (e.g., 1.1 for Mobilization - Hand Scaling, Region 1) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Buy America provisions - Prevailing wage rates for certain tasks (PWR line items) - Insurance and certification requirements - Diversity and inclusion goals - Price agreements with all responsive bidders; non-exclusive contract - Work orders issued as needs arise; price adjustments possible annually - Contract term up to 15 years (initial 5 years, with extensions) - No specific OEMs or vendors named; open to qualified service providers

Description

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking qualified contractors to enter into on-call contracts (price agreements) to perform rock scaling work as needed upon issuance of work orders. ODOT intends to award price agreements to each qualified contractor that submits a responsive bid. Selection of contractors for specific work will be made from among the price agreement holders using procedures described in the attached Sample Price Agreement. The contract term is initially 5 years with possible extensions up to a maximum of 15 years.
