Description

The project involves demolishing two severely deteriorated 6-inch thick, 5-foot high, 9-foot long CMU walls adjacent to the San Clemente Pier Train Station and replacing them with new 8-inch solid grouted CMU walls finished with stucco and tile caps to match existing walls. The walls are doweled into the top slab of the existing concrete pedestrian tunnel and run parallel to the railroad tracks. The contractor must coordinate work with two 48-hour railroad closure windows in January 2027 and perform work mostly from scaffolding on the tunnel floor. The project includes removal and reinstallation of existing murals and rock ballast, utility rerouting, and cleanup. The work must be completed within 60 working days from the Notice to Proceed.
