SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking bids for the replacement and installation of twelve (12) universal powered operating room surgical tables at its Brooklyn facility. - Government Buyer: - State University of New York (SUNY), SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Contracts & Procurement Office - OEMs and Vendors: - Skytron (incumbent OEM for existing tables) - Solicitation is open to comparable products from other manufacturers - Products Requested: - Twelve (12) universal powered operating room surgical tables - Must feature radiolucent carbon-fiber modular tabletops, high patient capacity (1,000 lb normal, 800 lb full articulation), powered articulation, multiple motion controls, advanced safety features, rechargeable battery backup, FDA clearance, and compliance with IEC/AAMI standards - Includes delivery, installation, assembly, functional testing, calibration, commissioning, and cleanup - Services Requested: - Safe removal and transport/disposal of twelve (12) existing Skytron tables - White glove delivery and installation of new tables - 40 hours of clinical in-service training for Operating Room staff (day and night shifts) - Three technical training sessions for Biomedical Engineering staff (operation, troubleshooting, maintenance) - Two-year warranty on all components (batteries, parts, labor), preventive maintenance, and 24/7/365 system support - Extended service and support including participation in Remi Equipment Maintenance Management Program - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Evidence of experience with similar hospital installations, references, and peer-reviewed publications - Two-week trial period for at least one system - Compliance with hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards - MWBE participation goals: 16% MBE, 14% WBE - Coordination to minimize clinical disruption during installation - All-inclusive pricing; no price ranges allowed - Provision of as-built drawings, operation manuals, warranty documents, and service schedules - Contract Term: - Two-year contract with warranty and preventive maintenance included for the duration
Description
The State University of New York at Downstate Health Sciences University (SUNY-DHSU) is soliciting offers from qualified vendors to provide and install twelve (12) new operating room surgical tables, replacing obsolete Skytron tables. The scope includes removal and disposal of existing tables, delivery, installation, assembly, functional testing, calibration, commissioning, and cleanup. The contractor must also provide clinical in-service training for Operating Room staff and technical training for Biomedical Engineering staff. The contract term is two years, and the procurement includes MWBE goals of 16% MBE and 14% WBE.
