The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is seeking vendors for advanced laboratory services and equipment maintenance: - Government Buyer: - U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) - OEMs and Vendors: - Illumina (NovaSeq X Plus platform for RNA sequencing) - Agilent (Triple Quadrupole GC/MS/MS instrument for service agreement) - Products/Services Requested: - RNA sequencing services for 96 RNA samples - PolyA selected RNA library preparation - Quality control (QC), high-throughput sequencing on Illumina NovaSeq X Plus (175 bp single-read, two lanes) - Minimum 10 million passfilter reads per sample - Delivery of raw FastQ files, QC documentation, and sequencing run metrics - 1-year service maintenance agreement for Agilent Triple Quadrupole GC/MS/MS - Includes on-site repair, preventive maintenance, parts replacement, and support - Unique or Notable Requirements: - RNA sequencing must use Illumina NovaSeq X Plus and deliver at least 10M passfilter reads per sample - Secure data transfer and comprehensive QC documentation required - Agilent service agreement must cover all repairs, preventive maintenance, and genuine parts - Period of Performance: - RNA sequencing services to be completed within 45 days after receipt of samples - Agilent GC/MS/MS service agreement covers a 1-year period

Sources SoughtThe U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified businesses capable of RNA sequencing on an ilumina NovaSeq X Plus and library preparation described in the attached statement of work. This sources sought announcement is not a request for quote or proposal and the Government is not committed to award of a purchase order or contract pursuant to this announcement. The information resulting from this market research is simply for planning purposes to assist the Government in determining its acquisition strategy.
