Description
This requirement is for 60-ton Grove crane repair services for the 819th Red Horse Squadron (RHS) at Malmstrom Air Force Base. Contractor must meet OEM specifications as identified in Technical Order 36-1-191. This asset currently has a hydraulic leak that requires major drive-train disassembly and replacement of a 5 port hydraulic swivel manifold assembly. Also, several other items (wire rope, o-rings, fill cap with breather, element, lock pin, seal kit, slip ring assembly) need to be replaced in order for the crane to be certified as fully functional. Due to the hydraulic leak, the asset can not be driven and therefor needs to be transported to the maintenance shop where it will be repaired. There is currently no trailer in inventory large enough to move the 60-ton crane. This requirement will be solicited as a sole-source action to MGX Equipement Services as they are the only known authorized dealer in the state of Montana that has the capabilities to perform the complex repairs. The contractor shall perform all tasks in accordance with the saliant characteristics document and comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
