Brookhaven National Laboratory, under the Department of Energy, is seeking comprehensive analytical laboratory services to support environmental monitoring and waste characterization. - Government Buyer: - Brookhaven National Laboratory, Environmental Protection Division - Brookhaven Science Associates (BSA) - Services Requested: - Chemical, microbiological, and radiochemical analytical services - Analysis of organic compounds, pesticides, metals (e.g., lead, mercury), radiological parameters (e.g., Americium-241, Plutonium isotopes), and PFAS compounds (e.g., PFOS, PFOA) - Use of EPA and SW-846 methods for testing - Provision of sample containers, sample transport, and disposal - Electronic and paper data reporting with detailed QA/QC, detection limits, and formal reports - Contract Types: - Limited Radiological Contract (NYSDOH ELAP certification required) - Limited Non-Radiological Contract (NYSDOH ELAP certification required) - Full-Service Contract (NYSDOH ELAP certification required) - Unique Requirements: - Mandatory New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP) and NELAP certifications for all service areas - Strict QA/QC standards, proficiency testing, and data completeness - Contractor must maintain DOE and NRC licenses, handle sample transport and disposal, and meet timely reporting requirements with penalties for noncompliance - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; opportunity is a follow-on to previous contracts.

Description

This is synopisis and not a solicitation. See attached Draft SOW. BSA has need of chemical, microbiological and/or radiochemical analytical services. BSA is procuring these services to cover objectives, such as environmental monitoring, environmental sampling, or waste characterization to cover three separate areas; (1) Limited Radiological Contract requiring New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP) certification; (2) Limited Non-Radiological Contract requiring NYSDOH ELAP certification; and (3) Full-Service Contract, which will cover the analysis of all samples including waste samples and requires NYSDOH ELAP certifications. This requirement is a follow-on to three subcontracts that are currently in place with two contracts, one radiological and one full-service.
