Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR), part of the Department of Justice, is seeking information for a potential five-year supply agreement for domestically produced wood panels used in office furniture manufacturing. - Government Buyer: - Department of Justice, Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) - Products Requested: - Multiple types of cherry 3-ply wood panels with detailed specifications - PNL1923: 3/4" x 4' x 8', A-B grade, bookmatched cherry veneer, particleboard core - PNL1927: 3/4" x 10' x 4', A-1 grade, bookmatched cherry veneer, PRB core with cross-grain - PNL0264: 3/4" x 96 1/2" x 60 1/2", A-1 grade, bookmatched cherry veneer, particleboard core with cross-grain - PNL0274: A-1 grade, bookmatched cherry veneer - All panels require 1/48" veneer thickness, presanded with 150 grit, and must meet HPMA HP-1 and ANSI standards - Quantities and full panel listings will be provided in the future solicitation - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Panels must be domestically produced - Focus on expanding small business participation - Deliveries currently to FCC Forrest City, AR - Panels are for use in office furniture assembled by inmate workers - No specific OEMs or brands are named; the opportunity is open to qualified domestic manufacturers
