North Carolina State University (NCSU) is seeking a qualified vendor to supply new fire extinguishers, accessory parts, and provide comprehensive inspection, maintenance, testing, and recharging services across its campuses and properties. - Government Buyer: - North Carolina State University, Environmental Health and Public Safety - Products Requested: - Brand new fire extinguishers (ABC dry chemical, water, Class D, CO2, MRI safe CO2, Class K) in various sizes - Accessory parts including tamper seals, inspection tags, and security pins - Services Requested: - Monthly and annual inspections for approximately 6,100 extinguishers - Maintenance, testing, recharging (on-site and at vendor site), hydrostatic testing, and annual servicing - Electronic recordkeeping using NCSU's inspection tracking software (currently F-lnspect) - Emergency/after-hours service calls and parking permit management for on-site work - Unique Requirements: - All extinguishers must be new, unused, and currently manufactured (no refurbished or used units) - Compliance with NFPA 10 (2013 and 2026 editions) and 2018 NC Building Code, Fire Prevention Section - Vendors must be licensed and provide direct personnel (no subcontracting) - Complete and accurate electronic records and monthly service reports - Management of lists for extinguishers recommended for replacement - Contract Details: - Initial contract period of 12 months, with up to four one-year renewal options (maximum five years) - University may award the entire contract to one vendor - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation.

The contract includes supplying new fire extinguishers, performing inspections, maintenance, testing, recharging, and annual servicing, as well as maintaining electronic recordkeeping.
