The U.S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), Office of Standards, Regulations, and Variances (OSRV) is seeking NARA-compliant digitization services for its records. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Labor - Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) - Office of Standards, Regulations, and Variances (OSRV) - Services Requested: - Digitization of approximately 53 boxes of unscanned records (estimated 141,655 pages) - Includes document preparation, scanning, OCR/searchability, metadata application, indexing, quality control, secure transfer, transportation, storage, and return of physical records - Final report, electronic index, discrepancy resolution documentation, return manifest, and chain-of-custody confirmation - Optional services: - Validation and organization of approximately 44 boxes of previously scanned records and 80 previously scanned docket files - Additional digitization of 2 boxes or deferred related digitization, validation, organization, indexing, discrepancy resolution, or records management support - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All digitization must comply with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) standards - Secure handling and transfer of sensitive records - Quality control and chain-of-custody documentation - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the requirement is for compliant digitization services, not for products or hardware. - The contract is a firm fixed price task order with multiple CLINs for base and optional work.
