Description

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) is seeking proposals from one or more municipalities in partnership with Regional Planning Agencies, Massachusetts stormwater coalitions, and/or similar non-profit organizations on behalf of MS4 permit holders. The goal is to fund innovative projects that help Massachusetts communities meet the requirements of the 2016 Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) General Permit. Funding is available for projects conducted during Fiscal Year 2027 (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027) with grant awards ranging from $25,000 to $75,000 per applicant, totaling up to $250,000. Projects must include a feasible timeline for completion by June 30, 2027, and preference is given to projects assisting Disadvantaged Communities.
