The Department of the Air Force intends to exchange Federal real property with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) property to support a federally funded research and development center operated by MIT at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts. The exchange involves conveying 1.04 acres in fee with a nominal value to MIT in exchange for 1.04 acres in fee with a nominal value from MIT. This action is pursuant to Title 10, United States Code, Section 2869(d)(2), and aims to facilitate the research initiative at Hanscom AFB. Written objections to the exchange must be filed within fifteen calendar days after the publication of this notice.
