BCNET is issuing this Request for Information to gather market information from qualified suppliers regarding potential models for a shared 24x7x365 Security Operations Centre service for British Columbia higher education and research institutions. The RFI aims to understand supplier capabilities, delivery models, implementation requirements, privacy and security considerations, data residency implications, integration options, governance approaches, automation and AI considerations, and high-level budget requirements. Respondents should be actively in market with a viable SOC service offering and able to provide information related to service coverage, incident coordination, log ingestion, SIEM/SOAR integration, threat detection, reporting, data portability, privacy and security due diligence, commercial models, and implementation considerations for a potential Year 1 pilot and future multi-institution service.
